"Now that A.I. is being discussed 'everywhere,' I dug out my old HD PVR model 1212.
To start a project capturing old VHS videos
— and that's my question —
with the help of some A.I. tools to get the best out of the VHS cassettes.
How can I achieve this?
Does anyone have experience with this?
Is anyone else here interested in this project?
Perhaps a hint on which other forum to ask?"

I'm no help but I can warn you that you're about to get blown up by commenters saying you can't do a decent transfer from VHS like that without a TBC unit of some sort.

If you are going to do A.I upscaling and/or other post-processing you want to capture in a lossless format so you want something else than the HD PVRs which only output already h.264 compressed video as far as I know.

OK many THX!
Where do I find a GUID, what is needed to do this?
What hardware is recommended?
etc..
