  1. Hello,

I wondered if I could ask for some help locating subtitles on TV4play (Sweden). I've been lurking and learning for a while, but I'm struggling with this one.

I'm trying to download the subtitles to this show ("Fångarna på fortet" - catchy name ) - which exist as when you stream it in a browser, they appear.

    Link to TV show: https://www.tv4play.se/video/d2b3ad80fa095d13b51d/avsnitt-1-montazamis-vs-lundells

I've managed to find the video and audio:

    https://vod.streaming.a2d.tv/1539bfdc-561a-42b2-810d-1d279065ca3c/1ee38d40-4663-11ee-b...o=6500000.m3u8

    https://vod.streaming.a2d.tv/1539bfdc-561a-42b2-810d-1d279065ca3c/1ee38d40-4663-11ee-b...io=128000.m3u8

But I'm getting nowhere with the subtitles. I've tried every command I can think of (I'm a beginner) - "yt-dlp --embed-subs --all-subs" etc on the above links but it didn't work. In the webpage console, I can see .VTT entries, but each only contains a couple of lines of subtitles, and I want all of them for the whole show.

Example of the snippet of subtitles: https://vod.streaming.a2d.tv/1539bfdc-561a-42b2-810d-1d279065ca3c/1ee38d40-4663-11ee-b...1000-97.webvtt

Any ideas how I can get all the subtitles? - what I should be looking for and what would the yt-dlp command to download them? I think it's because I've not got the right file address.

    Thanks in advance

You can also open the main .m3u8 with f.e. notepad and inside you will see
    # SUBTITLES groups
    #EXT-X-MEDIA:TYPE=SUBTITLES,GROUP-ID="textstream",LANGUAGE="sv",NAME="Svenska",DEFAU LT=YES,AUTOSELECT=YES,URI="1ee38d40-4663-11ee-bfdf-150afbf6929e_20466953-textstream_swe=1000.m3u8"
    Which gives

    https://vod.streaming.a2d.tv/1539bfdc-561a-42b2-810d-1d279065ca3c/1ee38d40-4663-11ee-b..._swe=1000.m3u8

then you can extract a full .webvtt file from it with f.e. streamlink and then convert to f.e. .srt if you need to.
