Quite often users asking questions about keyboard shortcuts in PotPlayer, have the problems with using a hotkey by mistake, etc. that's why I shared my own list in the old official forum, which was deleted, so I created it also here.

PotPlayer have lot of non-standard keyboard shortcuts, which may cause lot of problems, using them by mistake, then it's hard to find the reason.

That's why I disabled default keyboard shortcuts and created my own list with mostly standard shortcuts and some own, which can be handy and easy to remember, e.g. keys around the Enter key to change speed, frame, etc., but this is not easy, so I want to share my custom keyboard shortcuts list.

How to use it:

- install portable version of PotPlayer, or install PotPlayer to non-system folder, it can't be "Program Files", you can use e.g. "C:\Programs\PotPlayer"
- enable option: Preferences - General - Store settings into .ini file
- enable option: Preferences - General - Keyboard - Disable default hotkeys
- create at least 1 custom keyboard shortcut
- create at least 1 custom keyboard shortcut also in Preferences - Playback - Playlist - Hotkeys
- click OK to save changes
- exit PotPlayer
- open file PotPlayerMini64.ini in any text editor, e.g. Notepad (file location is in the "install folder")
- search for `[MainShortCutList]` and `[PlayShortCutList]` and replace the text with the text from the list below

Of course, you can Delete any shortcut you don't like/need, or/and edit, if needed, it's still much easier than creating all shortcuts one by one.

This way it's also easy to backup all keyboard shortcuts and also all preferences, so I suggest to backup the .ini file right after editing the shortcuts, just exit PotPlayer first.

Few shortcuts from the list:

- F12 - preferences
- Enter - switch fullscreen, keep AR
- Space - play/pause
- Left, Right - seek
- Up, Down - volume
- M - mute
- A - cycle audio
- S - cycle subtitles
- Y, U, I, O - multiple OSD/info items
- F2 - rename file
- Ctrl+C - copy item name to clibboard
- Ctrl+V - paste from clipboard (e.g. for youtube videos)
- Numpad "+", "-" - to change window size
- Numpad "/", "\*" - to zoom (useful to remove black bars preserving AR)
- ",", ".", "/" (next to right Shift) - to change/toggle speed
- ";", "'" (next to Enter) - previous/next frame
- Home, End - to go to start, 30 sec. before end
- F5, Ctrl+R in playlist - detect file durations
