The Amazon page for the MYPIN 4K Media Player says the following:
    • TF card up to 128G
    • USB drive up to 128G
    • Hard drive up to 8TB
    • work with FAT32, NTFS, EXFAT
    • Not work with MAC formatted drive.
The quoted product information above appears to have been provided by the manufacturer. So, I would not expect the MYPIN 4K Media Player to work with a Mac-formatted drive.

Some media players and other external hardwares only support FAT32 File system, if the external hardware (ie media player) require FAT32 and the disk is not formatted with this it cannot function, alltough it can happen they support NTFS filesystem allso!

Check if the USB Memories that was functioning with the medial player is using FAT32 or NTFS, if there are any settings for the media player you can try check to see if you can enable for example NTFS instead of FAT32 (ie. Read external memorys/hdd with FAT32 and switch to the one that the HDD is using, ie. NTFS).

Edit: And yeah possibly it could matter if it is formatted for MAC, im not really sure about that one, could be built in theft protection from the MAC formatting so the hdd could automaticly be protected from beeing used on other hardwares then the "approved" ones!

If you're real unlucky allso some external hardwares such as an media player might allso only sometime function with USB Memoryes and not external hdd's!
