Problem with menu

I have just burned few short movies (.mpg or .dat ) into a cdr by using nero. I have create a menu before i burned it into the cdr.The problem is that the menu doesn't appear when i played the cdr in my cd player, the other portions work well ( I mean the movies ). But, the menu appears when i try to played in my cd-rom.Can any one figure out the reason?please help on this. Thanks.

If this is a high resolution MPEG still, I read somewhere that some DVD players don't like to play stills if they are the first thing in the playlist. The fix would be to add a short (5sec?) video at the beginning of the VCD. Try it on a CD-RW first.

Its also possible (although a bit unlikely) that PBC is turned off on your DVD player. If there is a PBC button on the remote, make sure that it is on before playing the VCD.
