  1. Question is pretty simple.

I’ve switched from Windows to MacOS.

On Windows I had the combo of AviSynth+VDUB, but I’m not sure what to use on Mac OS…

    Any help?

Answer is pretty simple as well.

Nothing works directly on a Mac.

Your only option is to install a virtual machine and install Windows plus required programs on that. Kinda defeats the purpose in moving to Mac

Hybrid runs on Mac, and I believe you can run AVISynth scripts in it (it includes a built-in QTGMC feature).

Well I guess that Selur is the best person to confirm this.

So whilst the software page here says it is multi-platform, that same page states that it is Windows OS

  5. a. there is no current Mac version of Hybrid, since I don't own a Mac anymore and gave up on running MacOS in a VM
    b. the last available version of Hybrid for Mac does not use Avisynth, but Vapoursynth only.
    c. really old versions did support Avisynth through Wine, but that was to much trouble and to instable to keep it going.

@Selur, I suggest you change the Hybrid download page as follows (remove the red bits):

Hybrid is a multi platform (Linux/Mac OS X/Windows) Qt based frontend for a bunch of other tools which can convert nearly every input to x265/x264/Xvid/VP8 + ac3/ogg/mp3/aac/flac inside an mp4/m2ts/mkv/webm container, a Blu-ray or an AVCHD structure.
and/or add Linux to the "Supported Operating Systems" section.

  11. Current Avisynth, Vapoursynth state on MacOS afaik.:from my point of view, for using Avisynth or Vapoursynth MacOS is only something you should dabble into if you have a lot of time on your hand and don't need updated filters.

On Linux you need to compile all the stuff yourself, but that is usually easier than trying to get the stuff running on MacOS.
Haven't heard of anyone who got the ml based filters for either Avisynth or Vapoursynth running on MacOS.
