when I want to move the slider across to a part of the video, its like its controlled in set chapters, although very short. I dont know what setting do I need to adjust

and when I want to advance the movie forward or back 2 seconds, I think it does 5 seconds or so. any way to configure for less time?

    thank you in advance.

  4. Didn't know that was there. Just switched from VLC.
Just curious. How do you impliment the other two values. Tried different key and arrow combinstions to no avail.

  5. mpc-hc: (O)ptions>Player>Keys:enter jump

There was a suggestion to rename these options to jump/seek.

You have to define your own keys.
    Options/Keys
The most common shortcuts are already defined.
Clear the key cell (double click on the key cell/right click/clear) for the shortcuts you wish to redefine elsewhere.
I find it a bit of a mess and have settled for just the one jump distance. 5000ms
For shorter jumps I use 'Frame-step'. Ctrl+Right arrow
For longer jumps I use the slider.

  7. @butterw & pcspeak...Thanks for that.

It's useful to occasionally navigate one frame at a time, which I can effectively set with the first value.
Also, handy to have an option for higher jump values. Could never work out how to do this with VLC. Nice to know it,s possible with MPC-HC.
