Issues with Playing mpd Content on Android phone or tv

Hello VideoHelp community,

I hope you're all doing well. I've encountered an issue that has been puzzling me, and I'm seeking your expertise to shed some light on the matter.

I have an MPEG-DASH (mpd) link that works perfectly fine on PC thanks to shaka in some cases, shaka manages to decrypt better than anyone else. However, when I try to play it on my Android phone/TV, I encounter playback issues.

After some research, I've heard that one of the reasons for this could be the absence of cenc:default_KID parameters in the MPEG-DASH manifest (MPD).

Upon further investigation, it seems like the MPD link does not include the CENC parameter cenc:default_KID=. Could this be the reason for the playback issues on Android ?

I have successfully played encrypted content on Android before, so I'm wondering if this specific parameter is crucial for compatibility.

I've tested the MPD with Shaka Player, and it works flawlessly. If anyone has insights into why Android might be having issues, or if there's a workaround to make it compatible, I would greatly appreciate your input.

in my experience Network Stream Player, can't play mpd without default_KID
and still can't find any solution.

on my android tv, i usee OTT Nav to play mpd
we must create m3u file or paste our m3u playlist in github, pastebin, etc
