  1. I have a Camcorder that records Video on an SD Card.

I take Videos with the Setting 1920X1080 at 30 Frame Per Second.

Then I open all my Videos in Movie Studio 15.0 and Click Make DVD.

A Screen opens asking me how I want to make the DVD.

It has NTSC 720X480 at 60 Frames Per Second or I can pick NTSC 720X480 at 24 Frames Per Second.

I do not think I would pick the one that has 24 Frames Per Second because this is for Film and Cartoons?

I do not know if I would pick the one that has 60 Frames Per Second because my Video Camera takes the Videos at 30 Frames Per Second so it will try to turn my 30 Frames into 60 Frames?

Will this not make it look Bad?

I would try the 24 fps first! Is there no option for selecting 1920x1080 as resolution? worse case is the video dimensions get compressed and look funny when jumping from 1920x1080 to 720x480! It would be like looking into one of thoose funny tivilo mirrors! some programs fix theese things differently, including any issues with changes in fps.. if there are many videos and it will take an very long time, maybe it is possible to use just one short clip and test everything? maybe use an CD/DVD/Blu-ray with Re-writable options or something? if all goes to hell atleast it was an quick one! it is not so much fun to test and mix with settings when it take for ever with the "acctual material".

Edit: Imo sometimes increasing the fps from 30fps to 60fps sometime make my eyes feel weird! If the program is not burning directly but instead creating an folder to be used with an burner program it should be possible to visit this folder and play the material, maybe it help give an preview! Can find any setting "Preserve the videos original playtime when changing the frame rate" ?

Are there any options to select "Display Advanced Options" or such things that would allow for more choices to come avalible?

  3. I no my program will take my video from 1920X1080 down to 720X480 to make the DVD.

How can my program take my 30 Frames Per Second and make it 60 without it looking bad?

I know you can always down scale but if you make it try to up scale I think it may look bad or is this not how it works?

  6. This is what I should have asked?

I live in the USA and when I Click on the Make DVD Tabe in my Movie Studio 15.0 it gives me 2. options on how to make it.

They both say NTSC 720X480 but one says 24p for the FPS and the other says 60i for the FPS.

Now I understand how this 60i works with the Frames Rate.

It will put 30 Frames on the Od Lines and 30 Frames on the Even Lines then Interlace them.

Like I say my Camcorder was Set to 30 FPS and my Digital Camcorder does not say 30p FPS or 30i FPS it just says 30 FPS.

So when my Video is in the Movie Studio TimeLine it only has 30 Frames to work with.

So if I pick the option to make DVD 60i FPS it will put 30 Frames on an Od Line then where is it getting the other 30 Frames to put on the Even Lines?

Do you know what I am asking now?
