Hi all!
My windows laptop has two thenderbolt 4 ports.
Can I capture Hi8 and Digital 8 video from a well working Sony digital 8 camera, using this equipment?

I posted a comment on that video: that his claim that "all the analogue USB capture sticks are useless" is nonsense. I have done an S-Video capture with my Gv-USB2 and other sticks and the analogue quality is very close to the DV transfer. So, if the Intel 12th gen issue is a roadblock, you could happily do an analogue capture, just like old-school VHS, and achieve practically the same quality.
The other option is getting a Pinnacle 710-USB (or 500-USB) and using that to do a DV transfer via USB using Scenalyzer. If there's a cheap one of those on Ebay, that would be worth looking at compared to that cable jungle.
