I was capturing a tape, got about an hour and 45 minutes into the footage, suddenly it flips out, and when the picture comes back it's playing at 2x speed.
Neither the tape nor the casing seems to be damaged, the tape was recorded in 1989 so it's relatively old but was stored in pretty okay conditions, just some yellowing.
Is there a cause for this? Should I continue capturing the tape and slow down the footage in post or would I risk damaging it?![]()
