yt-dlp software default video audio format when downloading videos

Hi, I want to know, that this helps in downloading youtube videos. Those videos will be changed from time to time and this software is updated regularly to download the latest videos. Here my query is , which is the default video and audio , frame rate and aspect ratio and resolution, it applies when you issue the command line command.
so that i could know, the details .
for eg youtube video format , in stat for nerds may show vp09 and opus format versions, but when you use this software, it saves in different format.
could some one say, how do we know, when we download the video.

Hi, Obo, your link is having all the details. But what I want, is in which format does the yt dlp download youtube videos and in which resolution etc.
I do not think, that it downloads the original video and audio format.

I know, there are so many formats one could download, but what I want its default format of download of video and audio .

Hi, I asked not only video format. I queried on the aspect ratio, resolution etc. If that is also available in your command result, please say the lines in which they have been mentioned.
There are list of formats for which we can download, but I want to know the format and other details in which the software downloads.

the yt-dlp site on github says this:
By default, yt-dlp tries to download the best available quality if you don't pass any options. This is generally equivalent to using -f bestvideo*+bestaudio/best. However, if multiple audiostreams is enabled (--audio-multistreams), the default format changes to -f bestvideo+bestaudio/best.

so if you do not pass any format selection options it will attempt to download the video with the highest resolution and highest bitrate AND the audio with the highest bitrate
if by "format2 you're asking about extensions, it will be mp4 for video and m4a for audio if those formats are the ones on the server. it might be ac3 for audio if that is the best audio available.

Hi, ampersad, thanks for your reply. It covers all the things i asked. I ask because, usually youtube has vp09 and opus audio, that i unheard and did not find in the downloads by yt-dlp. Thanks.
I see a video For a few seconds the video show full on my 1920x1080 screen, ie, a kind of intro scene, then the original video starts which shrinked to 720p , then the whole video plays and ends in the reduced size. What is this, how this video is playing like two different resolutions. please say,
But the codec shows as 720p resolution. but for a few seconds, it fit to my tv screen.
