  1. which one is the better motion to save my divx files to convert to vcd later ?
    fast or low?
    i know its a stupid question but i really wants to know.

    i dowloaded some videos in divx but the quality isnt too good.
    ild like to know which is the best motion?
    if u can suggest some filters to aplicate over movies to increase the quality of my vcds ill apreciate.

    Sorry, no clue about the filters. I've never used any in my VCD creations.

    DivX isn't a very good archive format.

    If you have bad quality DivX videos then no amount of filters will get the detail back. All you can hope to do is clean it up a bit.

    but the quality isnt totally bad just some blockiness in some parts of that movies...
    i just want to clean the original files...
    if i try something like increase bitrate or something like this ..
    what do u suggest....?

    You might be able to remove some of the blockiness with a VirtualDub filter called "Smart Smoother". Be warned though that the video will look more blurred as a result.

    I suggest that you first try encoding a sample of it it to a VCD (without using any filters or changing settings). If you are not happy with the results then start fiddling.

    I got a dvd ripped movie from edonkey and some parts i could see very minor blockiness in the background..

    should i attempt to use smart smoother?
