Apologies if this has been posted in the wrong place.

I have been a long-time user of ImgDrive but I'm having trouble getting anything to mount since I started using Windows 11.

In Device Manager, I can see the "ImgDrive" device under Storage controllers. However, under DVD/CD-ROM drives, the "Yubsoft ImgDrive SCSI CDRom Device" has a yellow triangle on it, and when I click on it, it reads: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39).

Incidentally, my external USB DVD drive is also refusing to work. It displays the same yellow triangle and message as above.

ImgDrive claims to support Windows 11. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Could it have anything to do with having memory integrity turned on?

That (mem integrity) or driver signing, is a very good possibility.

Did it get installed BEFORE or AFTER you upgraded to Win11 (assuming you upgraded rather than reimaged from scratch)? My hunch is BEFORE, and so I would test to see if uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling might help.

It is a fresh installation of Windows 11.

I'd previously (while on Win10) been using an older version of ImgDrive but when I tried to install that version in Win11, it displayed a message stating the the driver could not be loaded due to memory integrity being turned on.

I downloaded the latest version which installed without any issues popping up - but when I try to use it, nothing will mount.

I'm reluctant to turn off memory integrity.

Works fine here with Windows 11.
Disconnect your external USB DVD drive and delete both entries in device manager
(Yubsoft ImgDrive SCSI CDRom Device and the external USB DVD drive with the yellow triangle).
Then restart your computer and start imgdriveportable.exe.
This will install the driver again. It should work now.
Finally connect your external USB DVD drive. It should be installed well too.

    That didn't change anything, unfortunately.

Do you have memory integrity turned on?

    I managed to fix it.
It was a completely separate driver that was incompatible with memory integrity but was somehow affecting optical devices (real and virtual) from working properly.
So there was nothing wrong with ImgDrive at all.

IMO, Memory integrity screws up a number of apps, and isn't usually necessary, so not a big deal to turn it off.

I'm happy to keep it on for the time being but if it causes any further problems I'll certainly consider turning it off.

Which version of ImgDrive are you using?
