My question is short and simple. If I am burning a SVCD does it matter if I use NTSC or PAL? Will they both play in DVD players either way?![]()

Most Playa can play both - but it matters if the tv set may display it also.
Therefore choose the system used in your country (typically PAL for the whole world except US and Japan, there choose NTSC). SECAM Counries like France or former Warsaw Treaty Countries shold choose PAL -
Short answer is yes. Alhtough many newer/nicer DVD players support both PAL and NTSC, most TVs sold in the US do not.
If you live in the US, Canada or Japan use NTSC.
For Europe use PAL.
