Hello! I'm new here in VideoHelp, is it possible to decrypt or remove the scrambled stuff in this .MPG file copy I have that came from a Korean Karaoke background videos (from KY Kumyoung Muzen 2). I also tried Handbrake libdvdcss for it, and it didn't even decrypt the mpg file. even other softwares like DVDFab etc. If it's possible to help me for it, I appreciate it. Thanks.

  2. Did you try to decrypt the DVD itself? Your post isn't clear about that. Not to me, anyway.

It's not a DVD or Disc, It is an Karaoke Hard Drive accompiment that background videos uses MPG files.(and yet it uses DVD Codec but not from a DVD)

  4. I just had a look. That's not the kind of corruption you'd see from an encrypted DVD. I'd say it's either a bad download or perhaps a bad memory stick. The source looks clean, right? I'd first try to download it again. Or wasn't it downloaded?
And if a bad memory stick, have you seen other similar kinds of corruption on other videos?

  6. Then you need to check your memory to see if it's good. I'd first run MemTest86 if I were you. It's free to use.

" Unreliable RAM can cause a multitude of problems. Corrupted data, crashes and unexplained behaviour.

Bad RAM is one of the most frustrating computer problems to have as symptoms are often random and hard to pin down. MemTest86 can help diagnose faulty RAM (or rule it out as a cause of system instability). As such it is often used by system builders, PC repair stores, overclockers & PC manufacturers."

If that's not it, then perhaps someone else can help.

They are from the Karaoke Hard Drive that uses them for Background Videos. But they are scrambled, i suspect theres a protection from the MPG file

No. There are errors in the MEPG data. The files weren't copied correctly or they were corrupted before being copied.

    MPC-HC.
For me, these are typical video stream corruptions that I have seen many times.

  15. I tried a half dozen different players and all of them show picture corruption. The type of corruption is typical of damaged MPEG 2 files, not typical of encrypted DVD files.

Is there a solution to fix the damaged MPEG-2 file?

You can (easily recompress), but the errors will remain.
