I used DVDx1.8 for ripping and subtitles. Used the same settings (f.e. output settings) as given in page http://www.vcdhelp.com/sefy/?id=direct1.html. The result was quiet lousy. Many drop outs in audio and bad video.
I discovered another discription in vcdhelp based on DVDx1.4 at page http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdbackup.htm. This procedure looks quiet different and the settings are different (example "nearest high" for resize filter instead of "bicubic"). And there are some other tools mentioned like AVIsynth104 and Videoserver.
I am a little confused now. What gives a good result including subtitles?
I discovered that encoding with TMPGenc gives a substantional better result, but no subtitles possible (and that's what I want to achieve)!!
Can anybody help me!!!
