Maye twice not over and over again as you put it anyway I appreciate you doing the file for me but I was just interested in trying to get it downloading myself but no matter. Just wish I could get TwinVine working. The bit on github makes no sense unless it is actually as someone else told me only for linux users

Run this line inside the VineFeeder folder:

I could be wrong but I think you need to go to the Twinvine folder and go up to the address line and erase what is in there and type cmd and press enter. Then you copy and paste that code and press enter. But I could be wrong.

My GMTEK Mini PC has stopped working. But I have set up Twinvine more or less on my Sister's PC. I notice a Binary Folder in the Envied SRC Folder and I have place the various tools in there. I read here in this thread or at the Github page that a folder should be made for Binaries and that it should be added to the system path. Is this still the case?

Also I did a test download and it seems to hang when decrypting the audio. Thank you in advance for any advice and guidance.

I am getting this error in Envied:

Update: I got it figured out. I had to delete a token and I had the wrong file downloaded from the Shaka Packager website. The video was downloaded successfully.

I can't get UK-FTA to work, I use a venv and whenever I click config or one of the services, it opens another terminal instance but outside of the venv which I was initially running from, does anyone else have this issue (attached clip)

EDIT: Vinefeeder has the same GUI which doesn't have the same problem and works as expected.

It's real simple dude, you're overthinking and not realising how simple it is:

1. Go to the 'Vinefeeder' folder and open it.
2. Right click inside the Vinefeeder folder and 'open terminal'
3. Paste the command:

cp packages/envied/src/envied/envied-working-example.yaml packages/envied/src/envied/envied.yaml

Done!

Alternatively you can do it manually: open the Vinefeeder folder and click through "packages/envied/src/envied/" and you'll see a .yaml file called "envied-working-example.yaml" - make a copy of that in the same folder and name it "envied.yaml".

Done!

Write your own batch converter that operates, after download. on a named folder. FFmpeg will do the conversion.

Thanks for advice on save to mp4 -- Copilot also suggested a post save converter.

I was just checking there wasn't a quick solution like there is in UK-FTA with just a parameter change when calling N_m3u8DL-RE in the python code.

Well, no wonder! You are using 'URL for greedy search' but not entering any URL are you? URLs start https://www.bbc.co.uk/.....
You are entering a Keyword 'Shetland' - so on that screen select the Keyword option; see the first two images below;

But the better approach, and one or two key presses shorter, is first to put your keyword in the search box and only then click the button for the BBC service

Thank you Angela -- I have even surprised myself on how stupid I can be - thank you for your patience. My only defence is that the 1st options appears to work with ITVx, athough not really relevant. Great I can now get the BBC search working by selecting the correct option!

Don't panic! Twinvine looks up pssh (for keys) in a remote (online) key Vault to save doing a license request. Presently that key-vault is using a different access key - to stop access - while the owner is doing some back-end work. I understand everything will be back to normal soon. The message is harmless - even if a little alarming..

If you are going to ask for help at the very least say what you were downloading. That allows others to see if they have a fault with that download too - or is the fault just yours?

From what you post it looks as if shaka-packager is baulking at something. Try setting decryptor to mp4decrypt in the envied.yaml location :- TwinVine/packages/envied/src/envied/envied.yaml or downgrade shaka-packager to version 2..6.1. https://github.com/shaka-project/shaka-packager/releases/download/v2.6.1/packager-win-x64.exe

Sorry Angela, I wasn't following protocol. I was downloading anything from ITV (so I hadn't thought to specify). In this case, just to download something quick I searched 'News'. The first under that which would be the one I downloaded to show the error is [ ] 11, 2:Episode 2, https://www.itv.com/watch/itv-evening-news/2a4545/2a4545a2606, National and international news with reports and analysis from ITVs Correspondents.

I think the programme I actually wanted when I discovered nothing in ITV was working was -
[ ] 24, 1:The Devil's Work, https://www.itv.com/watch/midsomer-murders/Ya1096/1a7317a0068,
Barnaby and Winter hunt for a killer amidst those associated with the Stourwick Estate.

I had previously left it as didn't want to complain as it could be a change at ITV that will finally be catered for - it was just I thought it may relate to the other posts. I got the programmes through UK-FTA that still works for me on ITV.

Thanks for the suggestions - I will follow your suggestions to try to resolve.

EDIT: mp4decrypt seemed to create a file but no video --- just changing shaka-packager to an other I had fixed it --- thank you!!!

Does Git Pull and UV Snc update Twinvine and the services as well? Thanks in advance for guidance on this issue.

I went to the Twinvine Folder and went to the address line and typed cmd and then typed:

git pull

the program updated then I typed:

uv sync

this finished the process and Twinvine is updated which is nice. I noticed a CR in services and thought that meant CRAVE but it is Crunchy Role which I will have to visit that website and see what is there.

Hi,

This evening hasn't went to well, I've tried to install and get vinefeeder works several times but run into the same issue over and over.

If i start vinefeeder with no envied.yaml config, then I can grab any show from BBC without an issue. No other services work which is as expected.

If i copy envied-working-example.yaml config over, as per the windows install instructions then I can't grab any show from any service, every attempt returns the following error.

❌ Download Failed...
[WinError 3] The system cannot find the path specified:
'Temp\\Video_41c2d304.mp4_segments'
An unexpected error occurred in one of the download workers.
See the error trace above for more information.

All configuration options are default as an unmodded envied-working-example.yaml has been copied to envied.yaml

All toos where installed/downloaded to c:\Tools

Any help would be appreciated.
