  1. Hi, I have an avi file that locks up at about 46 mins of the total 59mins. When watching you can fast forward past this point and it will continue on but when encoding with tmpgenc it stops and can't finish encoding the file. It stops at 77% and that part won't even play. I beleive that I don't have the full TMPGEnc 2.53 version. I have the Mpeg Encoder of TMPGEnc but the wizard that you show in your example of how to encode specified sections of the avi file doesn't open up when I start and I don't have that option under the file tab. I want to encode this file in two parts then join the MPEGS together. Can you show me how to do this maybe with Mpeg tools or something.

    Thanks

  2. It sounds like you have some bad frames.
They can be scanned and identified in Virtualdub where you can then remove the bad frames.
TMPGE encoding should be ok now....encode it as a whole, then...If you still want 2 parts go to TMPGE>File>MPEG Tools>Merge and Cut.
Then you can set it for Mpeg1 or 2 or whatever you want it to be and split it in 2. (if you want to split it in its AVI format use AviChop)
