Q fr newbie: Annotating vid clips in spreadsheet or Dbase w links to clips

Nearly brand-newbie to video editing here-- About to own powerful 2023 MacBook and a bunch of hardware for editing using Adobe Premiere Pro. Combined objectives--archive and mine large volume of video for both content creation and also scientific purposes. In the old days (analog) I used to "log" video in the sense of map it by timecode, name my clips, write notes, etc. This was by hand and it sucked but I could (inefficiently) know what I had and review my logs and locate what I needed. In a re-start of this system I am using an Excel which is still ridiculously laborious but at least editable and sortable and searchable.

Is there a software tool that is designed for the purpose? Either integral to Premiere Pro (or Avid, in case I might jump ship?) or compatible with it? At the risk of explaining too much (and redundantly) for a smart and impatient crowd, my need is--

-- Have text notes on a large volume of video that i have archived, referenced by timecode and name, perhaps also by date of creation or origin
-- Be able to search and sort and query entries by name, origin, subject, project, date, etc
-- Have direct link so that once i have identified a clip for potential use I can hit that link and be taken directly to the inpoint or file for that clip and review it, make further notes, etc.

What do you mean by referenced by timecode?

It looks like you would need to build a database. An Excel file is a kind of database effective but laborious.
An Access database would be a good option, but Access is a bit too old nowadays and I am not sure if there is a Mac version, so you need to use a different database creation software that works also in Mac.

I have personally used XAMPP for Windows in the past and I was quite happy with it.
There must a lot of tutorials on YouTube so spend sometime and see if this might be what you are looking for.
