Quick question about your Github. I raised a bug relating to muxing issues with multiple audio streams a couple of days ago. Looks like it's been deleted. Do issues just get deleted without any kind of comment about why they're being deleted?

I can delete issues without giving a reason, but I'm not sure if the user gets notified if I do. It's mostly meant as a last resort for spam, though, and I haven't deleted anything recently. And looking through my notifications, I can't see any issues related to that subject. It's like it never existed.

Most of their content requires a TV provider, so it doesn't seem worth it. It's the same for many of these network sites, abc, cbs, globaltv, ctv etc., where the freevine scripts would be limited to non-provider content since I don't have the access to see the authentication flow. And even if I don't personally have it, I'd still like to implement scripts with functionality for the people that do. At least for the TV provider stuff, since I feel like that's different from actual premium content.

If anyone with full access to any of these sites is willing to provide login, I'd be happy to investigate. But without it, it's just not worth the time to be honest.

In the latest commit CTV has been updated to require login credentials. Set up a profile like usual with freevine.py profile -u "USERNAME" -p "PASSWORD" --service "CTV" and you should be good to go.

For the last few weeks, when Im trying to download from iplayer, its broken.

A month ago it was broken, so I used 1.0.6 version and it was fine. A last few weeks, 1.0.6 and 1.1.0 and 1.1.7 still dont work properly... I can start download, and it does getting downloaded, but it says in the cmd/powershell like this:

Vid 1920x1080 ---------------------------------------- 29% 1.07GB/3.61GB

Then, I go to temp folder and it says size of the folder is just 317MB.

So, its always shows that I downloaded more than it actually did... It also downloades on much lower speed (usually less than 1 mbps) than it did before February. I tried many different servers (of windscribe) and even different vpns, same thing. I simply cant fathom what can be the reason. It skips some .m4s or something... Any advices? Thanks very much for this work btw.

upd: wow, finally (really 1st time in weeks) found a good server or something... speed increased to 6-8 mbps, so now I can at least repeat command a few times, I guess, until it would download every fragment?

I haven't experienced any functional errors like skipping segments or anything like that, but I can confirm the slow speeds. It gets slightly better if you lower the --threads to 1, but it still rarely goes above 2 mb/s. And it's seemingly the same for N_m3u8DL-RE, yt-dlp, and aria2. So something is definitely up.

I'd love to hear from some UK residents without VPN/proxies if they experience the same issues.

Edit: Using yt-dlp "URL" to extract and download the lower quality streams are still speedy, so it's definitely related to the CDNs being used for FHD streams.

No works fine flat out for me on CH5 ITVX and IPlayer without vpn never had an issue with speed at all with freevine thanks for your hard work

To simplify things, premium episodes will have a (Premium) tag when listing titles so you know which episodes can't be downloaded:

I know my IP has been temp banned by Hola, but i would have thought it would work considering it plays fine the the Channel4 side of things

The script is accessing streams not available by browser, and those can be more restrictive so it's not a guarantee your IP is allowed on both. I'd also recommend setting up Windscribe for Channel4 rather than Hola if you don't have a system-wide VPN/proxy.

I was/am using SmartDNSProxy ... will give it a go with Windscribe and see how it goes

Profile is set ... Downloads were working fine through hola (until temp banned), and occasionally work with SmartDNSProxy
