I've got an avi file that is in divx format. When I go into tmpeg to try and convert it, I get the error message that it is unsupported as soon as I try to select it as my source. Everywhere I look it says that tmpeg does support it. Do I need a codec or something? What am I doing wrong? Please help. Thanks

I can play the avi in windows media player. I've got the divx 5.0 codecs installed. Any other suggestions?

I am having the exact same problem with TMPGenc. The only thing is when I open the .avi in windows media player it is only sound. I have DiVX codec 5 and the .avi loads in Virtual Dub. I tried raising the priority also. When I dragged it into Virtual dub, it just opened the movie file, it didn't tell me what codec i'm missing. The FPS is 14.985 on my .avi.
