  1. Hi, i have video from super 8 scanned to 4k with a very good machine, but the camera that shot the video had a fault, so the picture comes out very randomly.
Its very jumpy. Need to stabilise it. I've been trying depanstabilise with vapoursynth and deshaker in virtualdub, but doesnt seem my settings are good enough.
How do you stabilise this kind of video where its so off?
Any suggestions on deshaker max settings and mv.Analyse , DepanAnalyse , DepanStabilise max settings for y axis?
Or any other filters i should try?

  2. Mercalli v6 has very good stabilization I had very good results with jumpy 8mm films some say Topaz Video AI but I didn't try it.

For Avisynth try VideoFred scripts has only for stabilization if you want or all with denoise and interpolation https://www.super-8.be/

  3. If you can share a sample others might be able to suggest something, but I agree depending on the severity, Mercalli might be the best choice.

  4. Ive tried them all, not working good enough.
Trying After Effects now, but not sure what to do.
Seems I need Mocha, and that costs 700$. Not paying that for 3-4 clips with 3 minute duration.

Post an example clip and I'll run it thru Mercalli.

  7. It is only white frame not moving or my work pc is not playing it as it should. I will try it from home to run it trough Mercalli but another sample my be needed. I don't think ae or premiere can do better ( far worse ) than Mercalli stabilization
