  1. When backing up a DVD and downscaling the resolution, should I apply LimitedSharpenFaster before or after downscaling?

    Same question for denoising.

  2. You probably get more of an effect if you sharpen after the downscaling, otherwise depending on the downscaler you might lose anything LSF did.
    https://github.com/Asd-g/AviSynth-DPID might be worth a look when downscaling, with DPID using LSF before the resizing might also work fine.

  3. If i perform sharpening then it is always performed before downscaling. Denoising - depends on type of noise and tools but usually also before downscaling.

    Deen used to be used quite a bit back then. It's pretty strong though at default parameters.

    deen("c3d",0,3,9)

    Those parameters will make it much less destructive, but it's still a fairly strong one.
