encoding captured uncompressed files
How do I get the best quality? I only get very poor quality when I encode, with virtualDub and the Divx low-motion codec.
Help me!

I want to compress it with the divx codec.
How do I get the best quality? Is where a way to
get the divx/mpg file to look nearly like the uncompressed? -
i mostly work the other way around, so i am not much of a help here, but the reason why i asked is: why?
if you want to encode dvd rips, you have to go via the divx codecs, multi pass, and play around a little bit with the bitrate
if you want to grab some material and edit it, go via huffyuv... this copy of me hasn't been registered for the last 36 years! (no spamming please)
