Hi. I'm trying to upload my videos to Youtube and change the SRT Subtitle font details like the font, size
and color. Since Youtube no longer supports CSS/HTML, is there any other way to change the font details, without resorting to a burn-in method?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Not in the SRT file itself. You can make changes in the YouTube player.
Hit the gear thing on the bottom of the video. Subtitles->Options->Font Family/Size/Color
Not much choice for the font used, though.
Probably not what you were looking for..

I know we can make changes in Settings. But that's not what I wanted. I want to change the font AS A VIDEO CREATOR, not as a user. But thanks anyway.

You can try building the subtitles with something like this in SubtitleEdit
Not sure if this will work in YouTube as I never tried it. Please let us know if this works
These are examples of different colours and the last one for italics.

    <font color="cyan">Custom Subtitles</font>
    <font color="magenta">Custom Subtitles</font>
    <font color="red">Custom Subtitles</font>
    <font color="yellow">Custom Subtitles</font>
    <font color="white">Custom Subtitles</font>
    <i><font color="white"> "</i>Custom Subtitles<i>"</font></i>

No, it doesn't work even with 3rd party applications. I've even tried with VTT, ASSA and SSA. Nothing works.

this guy uses subtitle edit and changes subtitles to stl, and youtube seams to respet colors and some styles, not sure about fonts

but in comment section, one user says this:
"I use Aegisub for making subtitles (which is more advanced when it comes to formatting options including karaoke support) and YTSubConveter for converting a .ass file to the .ytt file (a native subtitle format for YouTube)"
so that might respect colors and fonts etc.

Thank you so much. I will try this.
