    please be patient: I'm a cat



    I wonder if is there a way, commandline, windows 64bit, possibly via ffmpeg or another commandline-batch encoder

    to do a standard PAFF encoding of mp4/h264 files

    and the audio part AAC

    In this case I need to avoid MBAFF encoding

  2. If you have nvidia card, nvenc can encode h264 PAFF. (NVencC or FFmpeg NVenc -c:v h264_nvenc) . But quality is significantly lower than software libx264 MBAFF

  3. yes I have a nvidia card but seems that quality is too low

    does exist another tool like ffmpeg that can do paff/mp4 commandline encoding?

  4. You can do it with an adobe media encoder jsx script, but the h264 encoding quality is low too

  5. Seem there is x264 with PAFF support https://github.com/kierank/x264-paff - not sure if it works...
