    In 8. Use GPUs Video decoder to decode video files it says to enable dxva under hardware acceleration. If I enable it then potplayer uses my nvidia gtx 1080 graphics card and if I disable it then potplayer uses my intel uhd 630 graphics card.

    I want to ask does potplayer using the nvidia graphics card improve the video quality or it doesn't matter and I get the same quality as potplayer using the intel graphics card?

    Also will potplayer behave if I enable hardware acceleration? Some programs like Google Chrome can misbehave if they use hardware acceleration and they can freeze or crash.

  2. Hardware acceleration has nothing to do with video quality, only with decoding/encoding speed.
