Hi there!
I'm new to the forum so I don't know if this is the right place to post this. I found two used VCRs on eBay for a very good price, a Sony SLV-SE700D1 and an LG LV2765. To be honest, I'm leaning towards the Sony. Both are 6-head hi-fi decks. I will pass the signal through my Sony DVD recorder (RDR-GX120) and capture to HuffYUV AVI using an AVerMedia A827 capture card. Which VCR should I choose?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot in advance!

AFAIK both are VHS with composite video output only, no TBC. Can be ok (assuming the devices and tapes are in good condition) when used together with an recommended DVD recorder (usually from Panasonic) in passthrough.
A S-VHS model with S-video output and with internal TBC would be the preferred solution though.
Plenty of posts about this subject. Just search the forum.Last edited by Sharc; 17th Aug 2023 at 06:17.
