    Dear fellow members,
I have been using the KMPlayer (32bit, latest 4.2.2.79) for years, love it very much, simple and intuitive but powerful, and of course bought the team a cup or two coffees.

I recently notice the KMPlayer becoming slow and laggy when I do 30seconds jump forward or backward (control + left or control + right). The first few jumps were actually ok, fast, but then the forth onwards becoming slow and laggy (jump only after a few seconds). This is annoying when I was searching for specific scene in the movie. This problem was not limited to specific movie, but I had same problem on all movies playback.

I am not a pro, used the default rendering setting. I didnt have this problem prior to this, so I suspect it could be windows problem? So, I reinstall Windows today, and it is a clean installation. When I tested just now, the problem persists. So, I am clueless.

I am using Dell Latitude 5500 @ i5-8265U, 2x8GB Dual Channel Ram as my home video PC. It is not the latest spec, but should have no problem playing 1080p HD video to my 1080p HD TV.

Hope fellow members could help please.

    Thanks!

Is it all video or just some? Many video have problems with key frame sync, bad cuts, etc that mess with jumping 30 seconds or to the next key frame.

    All videos
Many are my old movie collection and I am pretty sure they were not slow and laggy like now. This is why I love to use the KMPlayer so much.

  4. Is it only KMPlayer that behaves this way? What about VLC, Media Player Classic, SMPlayer, Windows Player?

I tested the same movies on my friend laptop (newer laptop Latitude 5430) with KMPlayer 32bit, it didnt have this problem.
I downloaded KMPlayer 64bit, it didn't have this laggy problem also, I can do 30seconds jump from 0% to 100% without any lag!
So, something is wrong with KMPlayer 32bit on my laptop, reformatting the computer and a fresh install didn't fix the problem. This is very strange!
