What is the process studios use to author Blu Rays, where the source material is, say 1970s videotape? Are there issues with frame rates etc? Are there any inherent issues with the process? I've noticed some blu ray concert videos from the era can vary a lot in PQ, even though the source material is video.
Also, is there a better outcome depending on the source video being NTSC or PAL?
Thanks!
