    Can anybody tell me why Studio 7 says it can't detect a DV device when I try to capture from my digital 8 camcorder? :-? I am using XP and the 1394 firewire card came installed on the computer from Bestbuy. I think it is detecting the firewire card but how can I tell for sure?

    Check under control panel, system, device manager and see if your camera is detected.
    Alternatively you can also try any software such as VirtualDub to see if it is a software issue.
