I wasn't aware of the IO Data website or the fact that there is a different driver for different versions of Windows.

Here's the site (it translates OK with Google Translate):

I've since been told by a user of v1.12 that it doesn't play nice with Win 10 and VDub and that 1.11 was best, so buyer beware. I've rolled up to 1.12 and will report if I have any issues.

I see V1.15 is available. I installed it (with extreme difficulty due to my poor Japanese; thank goodness for Google Lens). As far as I can tell, one cannot install just the updated driver; you also get "LightCapture" (an MPEG 2 capture program) and a Cyberlink product.

While the driver updated to 1.15, "25fps" or "29.97fps" haven't re-appeared in the list of format presets, but of course can be typed-in.

I therefore suggest that, unless you're having difficulty with your current driver, you do not install the 1.15 driver.

  4. I stuck to 1.1.0.93.5 2010.06.28 and I have no issues with W11. Framrates 25.0 and 29.97 show up as expected.

I've installed 1.1.0.93.5, previously newer versions were installed, and it has never reverted back to 25 and 29.97 as standard options.

As well as that, I'm having lots of issues with the audio glitching, however I don't think this is due to any change of drivers. I'm going to perform a refresh of drivers again tonight. If that doesn't work I'm going to purchase another GV-USB2, then compare to see if it really is a hardware issue or not.

Yes it does. Uninstall the device and driver, delete the AmarecTV.ini file, then install the 111 driver. 25 and 2997 are available.
