Thanks Smrpix that looks like it would work for a webcam but it does not look like their phone app has that function.

Just did a search on Google Play store for "green screen" app, and there are scores of possibilities. I'm sure iOS is similar. Try one/some.

On Mac you can easily get this with Zoom. It helps if the background is uniform and different in color and texture from your body. Careful with gesturing, your hands may be cut off Have a neat hairdo or wear a hat for better separation.

I haven't tried it on a smartphone, but I think that modern smartphone can be at least as powerful as a ten-year old MBP.

Thanks it does work with Zoom although the recording quality is not great, 380p I think.
