  1. Hello,

I edit videos (for weddings) for which I have to do a lot of repetitive tasks, one being, I play the video for one or two seconds, and then I split the clip, and then, repeat. I sometimes have to repeat that tasks thousands of times per projects, so it get quickly annoying as you can imagine.

I am looking to find a way to do this:

By clicking on a keyboard shortcut:
-The video plays for X frames,
    -and then stop.
(X is editable, for example X can be = 24)

    And another shortcut that does:
-The video plays for X frames,
    -Stop,
    -Split.

I am not familiar with plugins on Resolve and I am not a developer, so I have no idea how to do this.
Can you tell me if this possible, and how?

    Thank you.

Have a look at creating a macro in DR; this is a way of automating tasks, but I've no idea if the functionality you're looking for is there:

Thank you Dave. I actually had an idea. Let's say that I want X to be = 24. Is it possible to set, via a macro, a shortcut that will simulate pressing on the shortcut for "Next Keyframe" 24 times. (Basically, it's would be a bit of a convoluted way to simulate playing the clip for 24 frames.)
    Thanks.
