    Er... so you comparing not just workflows, but two different sources. Not fair
    It was just to show to Eric-jan that S-VHS versus VHS sometimes is not that big difference, because he hoped to be "party pooper" about my captures using that argument

    Still, your experiment is flawed and does not prove much. If it proved that SVHS was better, then, duh! If it proved that SVHS was about the same as VHS, then maybe your workflow is suspect

    What is flawed are your conclusions.

    The source are different, using s-vhs does not improve that much in that specific case, the overall initial goal of Eric-jan was to prove that my captures are good only because they are S-VHS, which is false. Just as simple as that

    I can only repeat what I wrote above, that SVHS not looking markedly better can indicate a zillion of things.

    What is "that specific case"? A low-res TV quality? An SVHS VCR that records in VHS quality? A bad tape? A botched capture?

    This "test" proves nothing.
