  1. Hello ,
What will be the basic combination of digital video?
I researched this topic but results were confusing
I wanna convert some videos to very basic codecs without quality loss or minimum.

I know .wav format for audio which used in many feature phones for sound recorder
    And .avi format for video

Am new to video encoding so I wanna start encoding from basics.

Also suggest any user-friendly video encoder for android and windows.

    wav and avi?

All phones supports newer formats. Try Handbrake and convert to mp4.

  3. In other codecs there are many options to be set before conversion ,those options are for compression probably, and i dont know how they will affect my video quality..that's why need some simplest codecs to work with

  4. In Handbrake I suggest you start with Format mp4, h.264 (x264) video with Constant Quality 18 or less (lower is higher quality, bigger files) with Encoder Quality Slow or slower. Audio should be aac or passthrough (keep original audio).

  5. Take the easiest way, use clever FFmpeg-GUI.
Load the video, click main, click encode video stream, click keep size, select CRF 18, leave all settings as they are and click encode.

When that is done, click multiplex, the newly created video stream (in green) is already selected, also select the audio stream(s) and any subtitle streams, select mkv as container and click multiplex.

When that is finished, you will find your new video in the Output folder.

I want that encoding should be finish as fast as possible and also quality should be good..I'm ok if file size is bigger

Multiplexing clips will not result in audio out of sync?

Btw why everyone uses ffmpeg or handbrake for encoding purposes ,is there no other encoding softwares available?
I saw that some other encoding softwares depends on ffmpeg ,why is that?

Does ffmpeg or handbrake makes encoding libraries?like h264,h265 ,aac ,wav
    or companies make them?

  7. No multiplexing will not effect audio sync, it's just a repack. ffmpeg has been around for many years, is open source (100% free) and thus anyone can use it. Not to mention it's a very powerful application that matches and even surpasses many commercial programs. You can do just about anything (low level) w/ ffmpeg.

Sure there are other applications non-ffmpeg that are commercial but not free and have a big leaning curve like Adobe Premier Pro/After Effects or FCP and Apple Compressor.

For your needs doing it fast and simple stick w/ what was already suggested. I like handbrake as it's super easy a monkey can figure it out
