Viewing two videos side by side in sync inside Media Player Classic? (KLC)

I have a workshop recording in which there are two videos.

One video of speaker speaking while another is of his screen being shared. While searching online I have found ways to play two videos synchronously in VLC media player and Grid player.

For many years, Media Player Classic by K-Lite Codec Pack has been my go-to player for viewing videos. Is there any way to to play two videos synchronously in it?

Open mpc/view/options/player open a new player for each media file played and tick that option.

I'm don't think there's any way to open more than one video in the same player instance when using MPC-HC, but maybe you won't mind once you're aware you can do this:

Edit: Doh!! Sorry I missed your mention of GridPlayer in the opening post, but I'll leave my post now for anyone else who's interested.

I only discovered GridPlayer a couple of days ago so I haven't played with it much, but you can seek independently for each video, or you can lock them together once they are in sync so seeking in one video does the same for the others.

I haven't installed the native Linux version yet so the screenshot above is the Windows version running in VirtualBox. Video playback is smooth so far but the audio is somewhat choppy. Hopefully that's a VirtualBox issue.

Another way in MPC is playing an .avs (avisynth) script using StackHorizontal(clip1, clip2)

If the clips were not synchronized to begin with(same frame rate, same offset) - you have the ability to align them with Trim and various frame rate conversions in the script

easily done with "Adobe Premier Elements" or "Wondershare filmora" that can do up to 6 videos at once or sync together if that is what is wanted so easy to move sound tracks from one to another. Still learning about the latter as there is so much one can do with it
