  1. Hi!

    I was given a VCR in order to digitize lots of family VHS tapes. In a small test of it I could verify it was working (view some minutes of a video, FF and REW, etc).

    It was not in a good looking condition (dirty and smashed, with some bumps), so I removed the top cover and the metallic bottom plate, I hammered to straighten them, removed some rust and cleaned them.

    After mounting the covers again, I couldn't get the right image, only the sound is OK. It looks like something went out of sync (see attachment).

    Where should I look?

    I touched nothing while it was open. There was no significant dust inside. Even the battery was OK (the clock was about 10 minutes off time). The on-screen setup menu works OK.

    BTW, this is a Panasonic NV-HD620PM NTSC model.

    I really thought that it was an electronic failure, because it was working before the cover derust and clean process I did.
