Guidance on right direction - no encryption

Hi,

As with most simpleton questions, I feel really dumb and have hit a brickwall. I am trying to pull a video from a publically accessible site that grabs videos from the source. With the recent Widevine implementation and api changes to Voot and JioCinema, I am in the process of sitting down and really learning the stickies so I don't have to go through 3rd parties.

In the meantime, there is a site that already pulls the videos without horrendous watermarks plastered all over the screen and I want to add them to my own media server. Yes I could just stream it from any browser, but for those less tech savvy, it is far easier to have them open Plex or Jellyfin and click play.

A few months back, there was a change to using "Juicy Codes". Looking through the Network tab in the dev console, I can see the m3u8, associated cookies, referrers etc. But passing these through to yt-dlp/streamlink/N_m3u8 has not been successful, I started throwing the spaghetti and hoping something would stick.

My main question is wondering where I am going wrong and how I should proceed. I have tried grabbing the header data directly as it redirects, passing through the cookies, using the same origin (https://linkusz4.xyz) etc. But am always hit with a 403 forbidden error. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I quite literally wrote "Please use an AdBlock when following the HD Player link"...

Using Ublock I see nothing so have no idea how bad it is. In fact, using a "clean" browser (I have Firefox Developer Edition with only one addon - Stream Detector) going direct to the HD link has hardly anything egregious. No Idea what you are even looking at, post a screenshot if it is really that bad. If you want the direct "HD Player" link that redirects to the newsfusion site, here is it.

Is there a particular setting/function of IDM that would grab it? I'm only used to DDL using IDM, throwing in the m3u8 still gives a 403 forbidden.

Thank you jack, I am going to take a look into this now. The reason fro downloading is to put it on the media server for others to watch, rather than having them cast a phone to the TV or be hit with Ads when watching. Plus the watermarks is pretty distracting and obnoxious, a quick google search of the show name and date will link to all the other sites that copy each other. First I need to install awk for windows

What you need to do is to create a html file ... say soap_01.html and for it's content, use

Let your users click on the html file and it will play the stream on their device


This can be expanded, just use your imagination.
