Were you ever able to figure this out? It's difficult finding anything since they changed to Fandango at Home.

The license url switched to wss://websocket-cs.vudu.com:443/webSocket now. They are using websocket instead of regular POST requests. It's a bit tricky to implement but not that hard with websocket lib (python) for example.

I'd say impossible by hand, but you can use WidevineProxy2 I think
