Using Subtitle Edit 3.6.13. Trying to edit SRT files with terrible spacing, such as when there should be a line break after a period, the next sentence is right up beside the previous one with no space.
I have tried using Tools --> Fix Common Errors --> Fix Missing Spaces and it only detects some of the errors. For instance, it is not detecting certain characters with bad spacing such as '.' or '[' or ']', it seems it only detects bad spacing for certain characters (even though an example beside the option is "Hey.You"). Very confusing.
Anybody know how to fix this? Is there a reason it won't detect these characters when it comes to bad spacing? I would edit it on my own, but it's exhausting to go through them all in a word editor, too many episodes.

Can I ask where these srt files came from?
I usually edit errors in SE using Edit > Replace or open the srt file in NotePad++ and do the replacement there.
