  1. Hello, I need help. I have the Spiderman Video on SVCD, but I put it in my Pioneer DV-333 Player, and it wont play. I think it might be the type of media, it is an Imation CD-R 80min/700MB. It is in and MPEG2 format. I also tried to play it on my computer. I have a very old version of Power DVD (2.5, it came originally with my computer,) and I select the file to play, and it is in file mode, and the Universal logo pops up, but then I have an Error saying that it needs something like a 32bit Driver, and to make sure that the 32bit driver is installed. If you can help, please do, especially with the DVD, I would like to watch it on my TV.

    P.S. I have a Samsung DVD-ROM SD-608.
P.P.S. Might I have to convert it?

  6. OMG I saw the BEST copy of Spiderman. All ya gotta do is www.movietickets.com and order a ticket for the local theater AND GO THE THE GODDAMN MOVIE. If your that n00bish to not be able to even know how to play VCD/SVCD or where to get them (And using Kazaa/Morpheus does not make you elite) then you dont even deserve to watch it. Why dont you support the movies so they are more likely to make more.

    that's a little bit harsh, isn't it....

anywayz, spider-man's a pretty good movie and definitely worth a matinee ticket to watch

but there are plenty of crappy movies that don't deserve any money...

ok..back to the original problem..i haven't tried to dl spider-man since i saw it in the theaters..but wut file format was it...was it a .mpg file or was it a .bin/.cue file

if it was a .mpg file, you need to make sure you burn it as a SVCD w/ nero and not just a data disk (i too have a pioneer dv333 and it plays everything and anything...so if you can't get it to play, you prolly burned it incorrectly)

You say "you need to make sure...w/ nero...". Do you know it can't be burned with Adaptec Easy CD Creator?

  11. Have you tried to change the MPEG2 to MPEG AV. I had the same problem last night but with Lord of the Rings. I couldn't play it on my DVD Player (Sanyo 1500A) or even on my computer with PowerDVD 4.0Deluxe.
What I had to do was Rip the SVCD tothe hard drive using VCD Easy. Delete the bin,toc and xml file so that I was left only with the Avseq01 Mpeg file. Then convert it back to a bin file with VCD Easy but this time having the "use mpeg av instead of Mpeg2" box ticked. Also PBC chapters seem to to do the trick for me. Once it's a bin/cue again but with the MPEG AV entry file system just whip a copy off with Nero and away she goes.
Like I say, worked with me last night with LOTR.
    Cheers then
    Jimmy

hrm..wut? is that suppose to be an actual question or a rhetorical remark?

anywayz, i don't think EZCD creater can handle SVCDs yet..only VCDs...but even if EZCD started to support SVCDs...nero still prolly better (more flexibilty, configurations, and also easier to crack )
