I got a Samsung DVD-VR355. Now when I'm testing it, I found out that it has diagonal snow running across the image. This is not tape fault, because other vcrs don't have this problem with the same tape; and all tapes have white snow on this vcr.
What's wrong with this thing? I cleaned the heads after this, but no change.

Edit: Just noticed the dots are only in the top field. The bottom field is clean..

Possible dirty, worn out or chipped head/heads. Sometimes the usual way of cleaning heads recommended for newbies can't get the gunk out of the heads so more advanced and carfull methods are needed.

Or possibly either a grounding issue or bad capacitors somewhere.
