  1. Hello people,

    My friend sent me a Super8 scan that was done by a company. I've been trying to remove duplicate frames because it messes up the whole restoration, not sure they knew what they were doing.

    Please, could you help me? I put two samples down below.

  2. That is an incompetent scan and your friend should ask for his/her money back. It looks like they used one of those old Goko transfer units which utilized a rotating prism. You ended up with almost every frame blended.

    You could try playing around with SRestore, and you can look at this technique:

    The power of AVISynth salvaging "botched" transfers of old 8mm films to DVD.

    but both of them assume that you have more "good" frames to use as the basis for their fixing.

    Thank you! I tried to remove those blended frames with srestore(), tdecimate() but no luck... Please, if someone could try to see if there's another way, it would be very much appreciated!!
