  1. I tried to deinterlace a source (1min source-video in link). But the problem is, the video looks strange after doing that (picture in same link).

It doesn't matter if i use Vapoursynth or Avisynth and it happens on QTGMC and yadif.

It does not happen on an other video, were i also did it some time ago (so i know, it should work).

I use Hybrid. But i think, it is no hybrid-problem, because it works on another video (different series).

Can someone say me, what the problem is? Or can someone check with this video, if it's happening too on his side ?

    Would be nice.

Here's what that file looks like when deinterlaced in Virtual Dub 2 with YADIF (double frame rate, Bottom Field First):

It is odd that that file is BFF as an AVC. Stepping through the source/original looks like it isn't interlaced, but I'm no expert.

  3. Someone upscaled interlaced SD as if it was progressive then encoded interlaced. It's basically screwed. You can try using some of the De[X]ResizeMT() functions to downscale back to SD (around 576 lines) and then deinteracing. The trick is finding the right size and inverse resize function. Complicating matters, I suspect the PAL source was field blended from an NTSC source.

  4. (what is BFF as an AVC?) But strange, that i get these Results, when i use Hybrid.

Ok, then i have to use getnative and then rescale?

Because that file comes from disc directly with makemkv. So "someone" is the maker of the disc.

But as always: You get shit when you buy it (german Anime discs are often shit)... In my Opinion this is like scam. Sell sth like that is relaly scam.

I will try that with descale, because i would have done (or try) that anyway, because it is done at 480p or 576p (i dont remember correctly). At peast the first 2 seasions were produced on 480p or 576p.

Probably i will open up another thread in some hours, bevause i will have problems with descale and command-lines xD

what is BFF as an AVC
Sorry Platos, BFF is "bottom field first" and AVC is "advanced video codec". I've always considered AVC (H264) as a Progressive format for use on computer/phone/TV screens. The fact that it's being identified as Interlaced when it is not is not good.

  6. Hm ok, but when you look frame by frame you can see clearly these horizontals lines ?

But it is not only frame blending. So if it's really no interlace, what is it then (these horizontal lines) ? And how can i fix it ?

Edit: So actually i wanted to use sRestore combined with deinterlace + bob. So but it won't work.
