  1. I want to rip a few of my Blu Rays to play them from my hard drive. I figured this would be easy but oh how wrong I was.
For example, I attempted to follow this guide: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/343677-How-to-easily-convert-a-Blu-ray-to-MP4-M4V-...ing-free-tools
Sounds simple enough at first glance. I can't even figure out how to install this supposedly free DVDFab HD Decrypter.

I go here: https://www.dvdfab.cn/hd-decrypter.htm and I click download. A super tiny file downloads and when I run it, it starts a download process from DVDFab's server. After it finished downloading and installing, I ran it, only it's not DVDFab HD Decrypter, but the usual trial of DVDFab. It does say at the bottom, "HD Decrypter" - "Never Expire". But once I click Start, I am taken to the usual interface of DVDFab. Nowhere there does it mention the words "HD Decrypter". How do I access it????

If I just click on the same buttons as shown in the guide, it attemps to copy the discs using the regular DVDFab, warning me it's a trial and I only can rip three discs!
Please can someone explain how I am supposed to copy the disc to my hard drive with HD Decrypter? Which I am supposed to be able to do unlimited amount of times and not just three times.

once you use up the 30 day trial, it supposed to switch to the free version automatically.
see under "frequently asked questions" - https://www.dvdfab.cn/hd-decrypter.htm#q2_is_dvdfab_hd_decrypter_totally_free

another option would be to use makemkv - https://www.videohelp.com/software/MakeMKV

  3. Thanks. After I wrote the post, I was so frustrated with DVDFab that I researched some more and ended up using the other one you reccomended, MakeMKV. So much easier and less hassle.
