  1. Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with footage processed with QTGMC through Hybrid not being as smooth as footage de-interlaced in FCPX and I'm wondering if someone could point out where I'm going wrong. The Hybrid footage was processed with PLACEBO and BOB selected and was output at 50000 kbit/s. It was then imported into FCPX and output at 4K 59.94. The FCPX footage was simply entered into FCPX as a 480i 29.97 footage and de-interlaced using FCPX and output at 4K 59.94. As you'll see, the FCPX is notably smoother and the Hybrid appears choppy. Does anyone know how I can correct this in Hybrid?

  2. What format did you export out of hybrid ? If you frame step the hybrid export directly in a media player such as VLC, does it have the same problem as FCPX shows ?

Do you have a log file from that hybrid encode ?

  3. On second glance, the Hybrid footage appears to be fine. It was FCPX that was causing the problems. I solved this by importing the Hybrid 59.94 footage into a 60fps project in FCPX instead of a 59.94fps project. Weird problem - anyone know the cause?
