  1. I am encoding some files into MP4 and would like to embed multiple audio tracks for different languages (much like on DVD).
I am using Tmpgenc works and Premiere pro but cannot find a way to do this. And it it was possible how do you switch audio tracks when playing such a MP4 file on a TV etc?

You can use MP4Box for adding various audio tracks to a single video stream.

    Code:
    mp4box -add video.mp4 -add audio01.m4a -add audio02.m4a ...... -add audioNN.m4a OUTPUT.mp4
how do you switch audio tracks when playing such a MP4 file on a TV etc?
Better read the TV's user guide, I guess.

On the TV, you should be able to select the soundtrack (see the TV manual).

This is far easier and quicker with MKV. A friend who is not all that computer savvy needs mp4 for his media player and does this by making a mkv file first with all the tracks and then converting that to mp4.
