    Platform: Windows 10; Subtitle Edit 3.6.12

    I always process movies and TV episodes using Subtitle Edit in these steps:
    1- Change or verify that the output subtitle file type is US-ASCII (for subtitle display bug in VLC)
    2- Button 'Remove text for hearing impaired'
    3- Edit > Replace > {music symbol} -> {null text}
    4- Button 'Fix common errors', as many times as required until error list is minimized. Some lines with "errors" may always remain.
    5- File > Save > {filename.srt}+'.SRT' - to produce a guaranteed unique filename

    Can any of these this be done by command line ?

    Far easier to do those commands by using batch convert.

    Subtitle edit/tools/batch convert and check Remove Text for Hi and drag the folder of subs and convert.
